Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Must have completed basic firefighting class
- Valid Tennessee Driver’s License
- Available to work overtime as needed
Responsibilities
- Respond to fire alarms and other related emergencies
- Knowledge of fire prevention and State and County regulations as applied to firefighting and prevention
- Knowledge of general first aid
- Ability to learn to operate a variety of firefighting equipment
- Ability to work under extreme weather conditions and heights
- Physically able to wear complete set of protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus for extended periods of time
- Ability to effectively communicate and follow instructions
- Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines, tools and equipment and perform heavy lifting
- Must successfully complete all required training within the required period
- Perform other work as required
