Due to the winter storm and expected low temperatures, Roane County will be opening an Emergency Shelter/ Warming Center at Rockwood High School at 6 pm on Monday, January 15. If you or anyone you know is in dire need of shelter from the cold and snow, please utilize this resource and share this information.

County Executive, Wade Creswell wanted to especially thank Roane County Director of Schools, Russell Jenkins, Sheriff Jack Stockton, Rockwood Mayor, Jason Jolly, and Roane County Director of Emergency Services, Tim Suter for their engagement in helping some of our most vulnerable people in these potentially life-threatening conditions.

Roane County has also been working with the Courts of Praise Warming Center in Harriman to ensure anyone in or near the city has shelter during this time.
