Roane County is now accepting applications for community projects through the Roane County Opioid Abatement Council, providing funding to support programs that address the impacts of opioid and substance use disorders in the community.
The council was established in April 2023 to guide the responsible use of opioid settlement funds and ensure resources are invested in initiatives that strengthen prevention, treatment, and recovery services throughout Roane County. The council brings together leaders from healthcare, education, law enforcement, government, and community organizations to direct funding toward strategies that reduce overdoses and support individuals and families affected by substance use.
