Job Summary
This position ensures the accurate operation of truck scales, records transactions, maintains a safe and clean work environment, supports bay area operations, and delivers excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred); no violations or DUI convictions within the past three (3) years.
- Bobcat and forklift experience (preferred)
- Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
- Ability to lift fifty pounds.
Responsibilities
- Operate truck scales and use Waste Works software to weigh vehicles, record transactions, and issue receipts.
- Maintain accurate daily reports and handle cash sales.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting the public.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in and around the scale house, compactors, mulch areas, and other facilities.
- Coordinate with truck drivers for incoming and outgoing recyclable materials and schedule tire trailer pickups.
- Track all incoming and outgoing recycling materials and maintain equipment maintenance records.
- Perform routine maintenance on bay equipment and ensure all tools and vehicles are in good working order.
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks and changing compactor boxes as needed.
- Separate and process recyclable materials.
- Maintain records of equipment maintenance and report supply or repair needs to supervisors.
- Assist with custodial duties and inventory of small equipment and tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
