We are thrilled to announce that Jacob Martin, a dedicated Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) with the Roane County Office of Emergency Services, has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship for Paramedic School from the TN Region 2 EMS Director’s Association. Jacob, a full-time AEMT, will begin his Paramedic School journey at Roane State Community College this August.

Jacob’s path to this significant achievement is marked by hard work and dedication. Here are some fun facts about Jacob:

  • Academic Excellence: Jacob graduated from Oliver Springs High School in 2021, earning his associate’s degree from Roane State Community College simultaneously.
  • Early Start in EMS: He began his EMS career in 2022 after completing EMT school. At that time, Jacob was too young to work for Roane County EMS. However, just two days after his 21st birthday, Jacob applied to Roane County EMS and started his journey with us five days later.

Jacob’s story is a testament to his commitment to serving our community and his passion for advancing in the field of emergency medical services. We are incredibly proud of his achievements and look forward to seeing his continued growth and success in Paramedic School.

Congratulations, Jacob, on this well-deserved scholarship!
