On Monday, November 6, Roane County Government celebrated the 17th Annual Roane County Founders’ Day by recognizing 5 honorees who were named as Roane County Treasures. These Treasures were nominated by Roane County Commissioners for their significant contributions to Roane County through their dedicated service to public, private and charitable organizations. A Roane Treasure must be at least 70 years of age, and a Golden Treasure must be at least 90 years of age and both must be a Roane County resident. This year we were excited to honor our Roane Treasures- Pastor Ted Clower, Benny East, Jim Palmer, James (Jim) Ryans and Golden Treasure – Howard Galyon. Congratulations to this year’s honorees!
